OPEN LETTER TO THE Goffstown School Board
Dear Goffstown School Board:
As you know Kim McCann from Goffstown High School recently won the Assistant Principal of the Year Award and it is well deserved.
I read the article in the Goffstown News which states Mrs. McCann was nominated by Stacy Buckley, Superintendent. It is my hope that the abusive managerial style espoused by Ms. Buckley and adopted from the book Transforming School Culture is being abandoned by her.
Mrs. McCann deserves this award, not because she adopted the managerial style promoted by Ms. Buckley but rather because she had the values and character not to drink the kool-aid.
Those administrators in our district who did adopt the poor managerial style promoted by Ms. Buckley and who relished and enjoyed every minute of their abusive treatment of staff should take note that the people of this town will not tolerate paying taxes that support their salaries.
The staff at MVMS continues to hope for and petition me for news as to when their nightmare might end. They are looking for the "light at the end of the tunnel." It is your responsibility to make sure it is not a train wreck but rather relief from their long siege.
Allow me to remind you that an Administrator-In-Residence has been used in this district when the SAU Administration wanted to remove an administrator. That administrator reported to the SAU and read books. If legal shenanigans and maneuverings require one more year, let the Administrator-In-Residence occur once again. This is what is best for the staff and students at MVMS.
