Dear Goffstown School Board Members:
As a taxpayer and resident who deeply cares about education in our town, I do not agree with spending 30K plus on a consulting firm for the following reasons.
Whatever problems Mountain View Middle School may have had 8 years ago have not been solved. The unscrupulous management style was a matter of policy implemented by Jim Hunt and supported by Stacy Buckley, Keith Allard and Phil Pancoast. I know this as a fact because it was told to me by Mr. Porter, Phil Pancoast's biking buddy. Mr. Porter told me that no one on the GSB needed to "wake up and smell the coffee" because the treatment of staff at MVMS was a "matter of policy." Stacy Buckley and Keith Allard told me personally that they supported what was going on at MVMS.
Teachers and staff have repeatedly gone to Stacy Buckley and submitted specific complaints verbally. Stacy chose not to write any of them down.
Phil Pancoast and Keith Allard were on the negotiations committee. Ask them if they heard specific reports during those negotiation meetings. You had MVMS staff present and did not ask them for specific reports at MVMS?
Let us all be transparent. You knew. You approved. Stacy was not successful in attempting to move on to another district and therefore, now, something will appear to be done by spending more tax dollars.
The lawsuits and grievance monies spent are enough. At least 11 grievances have been filed to my knowledge and two lawsuits. Through a Freedom of Information Request, I requested the number of grievances filed at MVMS over Jim Hunt's tenure there. Stacy refused to answer the request claiming the SAU did not keep records on the matter. Yet, the SAU has a form that specifically numbers the filing of grievances by year. More games. More stalling tactics.
We already know the solution to the problem at MVMS. As Scott Gross, Ivan Beliveau, the staff at MVMS, and many vigilant parents are asking, remove the current leadership from the building. Send the remaining administrators, including Stacy Buckley, to an ethics class for professional development. Building character and values in your employees is a worthy cause and a good expenditure of tax dollars since, as you have become aware, it is almost impossible to get rid of them.
Stop the games. Stop the waste.
