Piscataquog Area Trailways will hold a 12-mile trail ride, with optional fences, to benefit the conservation of the Kingsbury Hill farmland (approximately 150 acres) on Dennison Pond Road in Francestown. The ride will take place on Sunday, September 20th at 8:00 am, rain or shine. Donation is $25 per rider and includes refreshments before, during and after the ride.
The New England Forestry Foundation and the Russell Foundation are working with the Kingsbury Hill owners to place the entire farm in conservation, excluding the buildings and enough land to build more barns, before it is sold to a buyer interested inkeeping the land for horses and/or farming.
Since 1968, the Sanderson and Campbell families have had a long-standing commitment to the education of yourng equestrians via their very popular Kingsbury Hill Riding Camp. in addition, Kingsbury Hill became fully sanctioned by the United States Eventing Association and held yearly events at the farm.
Kingsbury Hill Farm has beauriful hilltop fields, jumps and trails throughout the property and is situated at the corner where New Boston, Francestown and Weare meet. Placing this farm in conservation will preserve its open spaces, forests and trails forever.
