SOMMERVILLE, MA: LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston recently announced that Goffstown resident Noah Steffen, 6, earned a coveted spot on the 2016 Creative Crew. The Creative Crew are thirteen children aged 5-12 who will assist LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston Master Model Builder Megan Quigley in various tasks including building and testing new models, attending special events and being the first to test new rides and games. The Creative Crew will also serve as a “kid panel” to share tips about building models, how to get the top score on rides and other little known facts about visiting LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston.
Noah submitted a video that showed his build and answered the question, “How does LEGO inspire you?” Noah’s submission may be viewed herein;
“Noah showed us his Nexo Knights builds that were not sets and he also had Mario carts built and set up for a race. He used characters from other themes and sets as the Mario Cart characters which was really creative,” said Megan Quigley, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston’s Master Model Builder and Creative Crew Judge.
The contest took place via Facebook from March 24 through April 24. Over 110 entries were reviewed and judges selected 13 children that had excellent building skills, but also embodied the creativity of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston.
“We looked for children who not only had great building skills, but used their imagination and showed creativity in their build,” said Megan Quigley. “This is my first time choosing a Creative Crew so I’m really excited to work with this new team throughout the year.”
The induction of the new Creative Crew will be held on Sunday, June 5. For a complete list of the 2016 Creative Crew, check out the announcement video.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston is open daily at 10 am. Advance tickets are suggested to guarantee admission and can be purchased online at www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/boston
