NBPD presents two lifesaving awards!
New Boston - 20 March 2017: Following
the introduction of our newest officers, Chief Brace was proud to
present two lifesaving award's to Officer James Moran and Officer Jesse
In December 2016,
both officers responded to a report of a 21-year-old man who was not
conscious and barely breathing; the result of an apparent overdose. Upon
arriving on scene, the officers partnered to deploy the AED and begin
an assessment of the victim. Following their assessment, CPR was
administered. During the resuscitation efforts, a pulse was registered
and the victim begin breathing on his own.
partnership with the New Boston and Goffstown EMS Departments, the
victim was transported to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester where he
fully recovered from the medical event.
The actions of these two young officers resulted in a life being saved.
Each officer was presented with a commendation and a life saving pin for their effort.
