Hopkinton Town Band is Seeking New Members
Do you play a wind instrument? Did you ever play a wind instrument? If so the Hopkinton Town Band wants YOU! The Hopkinton Town Band is a volunteer community band comprised of musicians of all ability levels from beginners to experts, ranging in age from teens to 80s.
The band learns and performs a wide variety of music under the baton of conductor Jim Wojewoda, including marches, show tunes, big band arrangements, and classics. The emphasis is fun and camaraderie. There are no competitions and no auditions, just lots of music-making and good times.
The first rehearsal of the 2017 Hopkinton Town Band season is 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on March 8 at the Maple Street School in Hopkinton, and the band rehearses every Wednesday evening until the concert season begins with Memorial Day festivities and then Wednesday evening summer bandstand concerts.
Please dust off your horn and join us! For more information, contact band managers, Lucy Gaskill and Melissa Mandrell, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
