Residential Burglary **ARREST MADE**
Goffstown - February 20, 2017: On
Monday February 20, 2017 at 10:24am, the Goffstown Police received a
call of a residential burglary in progress on Hillcrest Rd. A woman
arrived home to find a car in her driveway that subsequently left the
scene prior to the police arriving. There were signs of forcible entry
and indications that a second person fled the house on foot. Responding
officers quickly contained the scene and a K9 track was started. The
K9 unit tracked from the rear of the residence establishing a direction
of travel for the suspect. Officers were directed to that area where an
officer discovered the suspect emerging from the woods onto Paige Hill
Rd. The suspect was immediately taken into custody without incident.
He had in his possession jewelry, electronics, and several other items
from the house.
The suspect was identified as:
Robert G. Smith Jr – 3/1/93 (23)
was taken into custody and charged with one count of Burglary, a
Felony, and was held on $10,000.00 Cash Only Bail. He will be arraigned
in the 9th Circuit District Court – Goffstown on Thursday, February 21,
investigation led police to New Boston where the vehicle involved was
located. The driver of that vehicle has been identified and the
investigation into their involvement is ongoing.
