Goffstown Post #16 came from behind in the bottom of the 9th inning to beat Jutras Post #43, 6-5 in a thriller of a game. Ryan Beal singled in Riley Palmer to tie the game at 5. That set the stage for a 2-out, bases loaded, infield single for Brad York, scoring Mike Bisceglia from 3rd base. York dove like a bullet across 1st base as the throw from SS Kris Tonas reached 1B James O'Brien. Jutras scored 3 runs in the 8th inning to knock starter Steve Beal from the game and take a 5-4 lead. The 8th inning heroics came half an inning after Goffstown broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the 7th inning with back to back homers from Jake Glauser and Josh LaFond. Kris Tonas, Eric Bukowski, and Beau Breton each collected 2 hits in the game. Tonas also tripled in the game. Glauser, LaFond, Beal, and Pat Naughton all had 2 hits for Goffstown. Steve Beal pitched 7 1/3 innings allowing 5 runs on 9 hits while walking just 2 batters, and striking out 2. Jutras is eliminated from the tournament while Goffstown moves on to play the winner of the Post 79 vs. Rochester game being played tonight. Goffstown's next game is at 7pm tomorrow night.
