Dunbarton, N.H. 10 October 2016 – The Dunbarton Police Department has received a grant from the New Hampshire Highway Safety Agency totaling $4,043.76. The grant provides funding for roughly 96 hours of traffic enforcement patrols.

The program runs from October 1st, 2016 to September 30th, 2017 and the New Hampshire Highway Safety Agency will reimburse the Town of Dunbarton for 100 percent of salary-related expenses. The Dunbarton Police Department will be participating in initiatives such as Operation Safe Commute and Join the NH Clique.

These grant funded patrols allow officers to focus solely on traffic enforcement. The goal is to reduce motor vehicle crashes by addressing motor vehicle law violations and deterring dangerous or distracted driving behaviors.
