To the Editor,
Crispin’s House Coalition for Youth is very pleased to extend our sincerest thanks to Goffstown Junior Baseball for hosting our 14th Annual Softball Tournament sponsored by Well Sense Health Plan on Saturday, August 6. It was a fun-filled, successful day thanks to our generous host, sponsors, donors, teams, players, spectators and volunteers.
Team Blacked Out managed by Tim Riehl edged out last year’s champions the Reebs managed by Brandon Stevens to take the win in a fierce battle for the Championship. Other teams participating were the New Boston Black Sox managed by Don Chambers, The Hit Squad managed by Reece Easton, The Blizzards managed by Ken Poulin, the Goffstown Police Association managed by Emily Crosby, The Spikers managed by Gene Piana, Team Scacchi managed by John Scacchi and the DH Clan managed by Lisa Horne. Thank you to all the players and their fans for joining us and sharing their spirit of community, camaraderie and generosity.
We would also like to extend our sincerest thanks to the many area businesses, donors and organizations that support our efforts with their sponsorship's and donations. In addition to our very generous Grand Slam sponsor, Well Sense Health Plan, and Home Run sponsor, Granite State Plumbing and Heating, our tournament sponsors were ConvenientMD, Goffstown Ace Hardware, Louis P. Cote, Inc., Rodney L. Stark, PA, Putnam’s Waterview Restaurant, Deb Chabot of State Farm Insurance, Goffstown Junior Baseball, Goffstown Police Association, Goffstown Firefighter’s Association, Profile Realty, Gregg Flegal of Edward Jones, Main Street Eye Care, Liberty Press, Unique Ford, Denron Plumbing and HVAC, Elliot Family Medicine at Glen Lake, Chiggy’s Place, Celebration Awards & Trophies, Gene Piana, and the Desruisseax-Horne Family. These local businesses and organizations are consistently at the foundation for so much that is good in our town. Please support them whenever you are able.
Our volunteers are another key to our success and we are so grateful for their help. Thank you to Diane Baines, Celeste Lesmerises, Elin Kinder, Karen Provost, Becky Goodwin, and Joe McCarthy, for helping out in a variety of ways that day. A very special thank you also to our umpires Gerry Bergeron, Steven Baines, Kevin Baines, Mike Baines, Collis Adams and Gene Piana for what we all know can often be a thankless job. Thank you also to GJB’s Jim Hujsak and his volunteers for knocking it out of the park in the concession stand for us.
Crispin’s House Coalition for Youth is very grateful for the amazing support that this community gives to us and we are humbled by its amazing generosity.
