Goffstown CERT Participates in Preparedness Month Activity
September is National Preparedness Month and, during the Old Home Days event back in June, the Goffstown CERT asked people to sign up to participate in a home fire drill. Many folks did but it’s not too late to prepare and conduct your own home fire drill and emergency plan. Here are a couple of links to help you get prepared:
The purpose of National Preparedness Month is to make the general public aware of steps they can take to be better prepared for those types of emergencies that can overwhelm a community’s resources such that a response might take longer than normal. Such events could be hurricanes, floods, tornados, and other major events.
The date for the home fire drill is September 24th. If you wish to participate and be counted, e-mail CERT at firstname.lastname@example.org .
