Elizabeth M. Biron 100, died May 1, 2016 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home. Born November 11, 1915 in Manchester she had been a resident of Goffstown since 1936. Mrs. Biron graduated from Manchester Central High School and Hesser Business College. For many years she worked alongside with her husband Lawrence Putnam. After Lawrence built "the Kenlaw" atop Mt Uncanoonuc they worked in the kitchen together and once it was torn down they worked together for several years at Putnam Fuel Company.
She was a fifty year member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Goffstown Mothers Club, Tuesday Club and Uncanoonuc Grange where she served as secretary, as well as a lifelong member of the Congregational Church.
Elizabeth loved to spend time with family and friends and in her retirement years she looked forward to traveling with her daughter Cynthia. They visited many beautiful destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States. She loved to tell stories about all of the adventures of her trips by bus, planes, trains and ships.
Elizabeth was predeceased by two husbands, Lawrence K. Putnam and Raymond Biron a brother James Dodge and her daughter Cynthia Miles.
Members of her family include two grandchildren John Miles and Betty Martel both of Goffstown. Five great grandchildren Jenna Miles, Ainsley Miles, Cameron Miles, Dakota Martel and Victoria Martel.
A calling hour will be held Saturday from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at French and Rising Funeral Home 17 South Mast Street Goffstown. Funeral services will follow at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
