Oh, what a disappointment! We headed back to the New Wa-Toy tonight (7/7/09) and it was just so mediocre! We all know the old Wa-Toy was pretty suspect, lol, but their noodles were excellent. Well, the New Wa-Toy is probably a lot cleaner but I they swept away all the flavor. The Lo Mein was barely there, no salt, no soy sauce, no clear flavor of anything, just noodles that tasted like there was nothing on them. I think the food was much fresher- better chicken in the General Gau's with a much lighter batter, and better beef on the skewers, fresher vegies, but what it accomplished in freshness was totally lost in limited flavor. It was a disappointment. The inside is the same pretty much, clean and neat, as it always was. And everyone's favorite regular waitress was there, which was a delight. But they need to work on the flavors, because for those calories I want my mouth to go "Zing!" -c | |
