Goffstown - 8 March 2010 - 11:55am - GoffstownToday.com became aware of this email which the School Board Chairman did not want released to the public. GoffstownToday.com contacted Allard and asked him why he, a public elected official who is acting in a public
manner on an issue which is paramount to the outcome of a voting process in a manner of just being a few hours away, desire to keep information from the public. Allard agreed that as long as the entire email is released, then he is OK with the release of it. This publication is appalled at the manner of which our School Board is being run, and this is solely on the basis of what has been observed during the past year. Allard first states that the issue about the inaccurate Goffstown News article published on 4 March, this past Thursday in print is a misunderstanding and then wraps up his email that he did not want the public to see while placing blame entirely on the Goffstown News. No matter how you look at this issue, something is very wrong. Unfortunately the Voters have been highly misinformed as a result of the Goffstown News article about the School Board Budget cost to the tax payers. The damage is done, and this School Board Chairman and Superintendent both have a history of causing damage. If there was ever a time for change, it is now (Note: Change can begin by voting for Lorry Cloutier, Jennifer Therioux & writing in Donna Pinard on Tuesday March 9th)! The Goffstown News scrambled to correct their on-line version of the March 4 Article this morning rather than leave it in place with a "correction". Appears all those involved just want to paste things over, place blame, and just let things roll as if they never happened. Let's hope Sarah LeBrun, Allards target speaks up in the upcoming edition with her side of the story. GoffstownToday.com sent an email to Sarah giving her and the Goffstown News an opportunity to respond today to us of which, we will publish it upon receipt. (Another Allard moment) (have these email exchanges been ignored by Allard and no response given until just less than an hour ago, almost 4 days gone by)
Mid afternoon on Monday, the Goffstown News updated their Article with the follow remark: "Editor's note: This story corrects inaccurate information originally provided to us about the school default budget tax rate." then this evening updated their Article with the following remark: "This story corrects inaccurate numbers about the default tax rate."
